Sunday Snippets #7: You're the Problem — But That’s the Best News Ever
The mindset, micro-habit, and offer fix that’ll help you stop stalling and start selling — in under 10
Hey friends —
Each Sunday, I hit pause.
Not to chase another hack… but to reflect on what actually moved the needle.
Not dopamine hits.
The quiet shifts that stick.
This week, I’ve got 3 for you —a mindset reset, a tiny habit that keeps you consistent,
and a sales tweak that’ll simplify your offers (and boost conversions).
Let’s dive in.
1. Yes, You Are the Problem—That Means You’re Also the Solution
Struggling to make money in your business or as a creator?
Here’s the truth:
If you’re stuck, it’s you. you’re the fu**king problem.
But—that’s powerful!
Because if you’re the problem, you’re also the solution.
Most creators blame the algorithm, their niche, or bad timing.
Usually, the real issue is:
Not shipping enough content
Dodging feedback
Ignoring the audience
Quitting too soon
Ask yourself:
Where am I holding back?
What excuses am I repeating?
What action am I avoiding?
Jim Rohn said it best:
“You cannot change your destination overnight, but you can change your direction overnight.”
Don’t wait to be “perfect.”
Change your approach, your habits, your content—and watch your results catch up.
If you’re the problem, you’re perfectly positioned to be the solution.
So,
Start with ONE thing you’ve been avoiding—take action on it TODAY.
Don’t overthink. Don’t wait for perfect.
Pick that one task, hit “publish,” ask for feedback, reach out, or launch.
Momentum starts with a single step right now.
2. The “Two-Day Rule” for Consistency
Want to build habits that actually stick?
Whether it’s writing every day, hitting the gym, or meditating—here’s the trick:
The Two-Day Rule:
Never skip something important two days in a row.
You can miss once — no problem. Life happens.
But twice? That’s how people disappear.
Example (for creators):
Didn’t post Monday? Fine.
Skipped Tuesday too? Not fine.
Fix: Show up Wednesday — even if it’s messy.
Post something. Keep the streak alive.
It’s not about being perfect.
It’s about not breaking the chain.
Miss once? Forgive.
Miss twice? You’re training yourself to quit.
Don’t fall into the “I’ll start again next week” trap.
Stick to the Two-Day Rule. It’s stupid-simple — and it works.
3. Creators: Want More Sales? Delete 80% of Your Offers.
I recently came across an article about Starbucks that made me stop mid-scroll.
Turns out, the CEO made a bold move…
He cut down the menu.
Fewer drink options. Faster service.
Why?
Because he wants customers in and out in under 4 minutes.
At first, I rolled my eyes.
Like, great—fewer overpriced drinks to ignore.
But then it hit me.
There’s a psychology principle at play here — and it’s brilliant.
Columbia & Stanford researchers ran a study:
• When shoppers saw 24 types of jam, most browsed but didn’t buy.
• When shown just 6 jams, sales skyrocketed.
🤯 Fewer choices = more decisions = more money.
So here’s the lesson for us as creators:
If you’re giving your audience 10 ways to work with you,
or 6 freebies, or 5 different pricing plans…
You’re making them think too hard.
Thinking = hesitation.
Hesitation = no sale.
Trim the fat.
Simplify your menu.
Make it easy to say yes.
That’s what I’m doing with my offers now.
You should too.
